I think the offense is way way way worse than Pete Rose. Who you pin it on, I don't know, but the result is far worse.

Pete bet on games then tried to win those games.

In this situation, teams won World Series, teams lost them, players became free agents and got paid more or less based on what they did or didn't do. The impacts are billions and billions of dollars based on fraudulent results which are a direct result of these players' actions.

It's disgusting.
