Indeed. I was looking at the team stats for LSU offense for the last three years and there's major parts of 2019 present in 2018 -- (edited)

Per game averages
2017 Rush: 207.7 Pass 203.5
2018 Rush: 173.6 Pass 228.5 (Burrow is the starting QB)
2019 Rush: 167.2 Pass 401.6
Leading Receivers
2018: Justin Jefferson, Stephen Sullivan, Ja'Marr Chase
2019: Ja'Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, Terrance Marshall Jr (#7 in 2018)
However Joe Brady's LSU career consists of the one 2019 season. Perhaps there's a bunch to be said for changing the system to match the abilities of the players.
As a side note, I was always amazed by the seeming talent gap (way above) and the offensive structure of LSU for the last five years or so. It could go back further than that but I was only paying attention that far back
