Yes. It's pointless.
No, I don't think it rises to the level of seriousness that either TFox or znu seem to have elevated it.
But I can see their fucking point in the matter. Both of them. One says it's completely silly, the other says it shows a character fault.
Me? I think it's silly AND that it shows a difference in campaign styles.
Sometimes I just like to discuss minutiae without caring if that minutiae matters in the grander scope.
Maybe it's the trekkie in me who used to argue about stupid things "just because."
