I've heard worse ideas (see: the past 10 seasons).

Survivor is a complex game, and part of my issue with it is that it feels like it starts with too many players, and finishes with too few. This suggestion addresses the second part, but would get overwhelmed by the first part (IMHO).
My solution for improving it is to not watch it.
