In response to "A relatively minor (but impressive) airplane crash in Iran -- (link)" by Beryllium

Two things this reminds me of from reading the piece.

1. They say the pilot landed too far down the runway, which didn't allow enough time to stop before the end of the runway (the way I read it). This happened to the plane carrying Mike Pence at LGA during the 2016 campaign, but LGA has material installed at the end of the runway to stop planes from overrunning (his plane would have run into the Grand Central Parkway)

2. A Southwest Airlines plane that landed at Midway in Chicago and overran, though I forget the cause (ice possibly?). The plane hit a car and killed a child.
