The impact is somewhat lessened as the MAX was not (yet) a major part of their fleet (lots of MAX still on order). But they had to cancel flights

which is why earnings were down per decline's post.
Southwest, United, American, have all canceled flights from their schedule due to the MAX, but none of the airlines had tons of MAX in service yet. However, as this drags on, the airlines will either have to defer planned plane retirements (which could cost $$$$ if heavy maintenance is due) or increase the number of canceled flights
