we thought about that (M was 36), and even went to an OB, but bailed on him when he was instantly dismissive of everything we asked.

the whole time I just wanted to be like "read the room dude! you're talking yourself out of a job here!"

if we have another we'll do the 'public with private insurance', or possibly homebirth again depending on where we live (we're literally a 2 minute drive from like 4 different hospitals now, but that may change soon).
