In merging CIWL with Carlson Travel Network, the new company, CWT became a subsidiary not of Accor (that isn't all luxury - they owned Motel 6 for 5 minutes), but a subsidiary of Carlson. Who? Why, that's the Radisson Hotels and TGI Friday's company!
But that's moot! Because the merger of CIWL and Carlson Travel Network was only of the travel management portion of CIWL. The railroad component of CIWL was actually spun off to Newrest. What's Newrest? They're a catering company for airlines and trains. You know those companies that provide the in-flight meals for your flight? That's Newrest.
So... where are the Orient Express archives?
