I have the Amex platinum and get a fair amount of use out the perks.

Pays for Global entry, $150/yr. of charges on an airline of your choice (baggage fees, etc.), free Boingo hot spots, $50 of Uber and random deals that are easy to sign up for. I originally got it because I go to a lot of concerts and the ability to get presales vs. having to pay ticket broker prices has been a significant savings.
