I'm optimistic for the company, and right now they really own the EV market and grid level battery storage and solar,

but that seems exceptionally optimistic that no real competition will emerge.
The Big 3 in the US are a decade or so behind Tesla in battery tech. Ditto Europe, but with their heads in the sand about the life left in the ICE market.
Asia is both great and not. Chinese makers are big on EVs. The Japanese and Korean makers are tepid or completely dismissive, barring Nissan and the Leaf.
Still, I expect a combo of legacy builders and new entrants will bring compelling, quality vehicles to market in the next couple years.
But until they focus on building up a charging network, they are limiting themselves to third party desire to serve their vehicles and customers who rarely travel.
They're also handicapped by dealer networks that see EVs as a threat to their bread and butter service income.
