there has to be a primary system to winnow - its issues in and of itself are small, though, compared to democracy being broken in other ways.

from disenfranchisement to suppression, external and internal manipulation and fraud, campaign finance madness, gerrymandering and electoral college madness, and more, there are so many huge issues.
it's why fixing it is pete's number one priority and I think should be every candidates top one. without that, we're going to be in even worse shape than we already are, little or nothing can get done about any and everything else that's pressing.
