speaking of this, did I tell you guys that last week, one of our buildings was evacuated bc "strong smell of gas"?

a person mentioned to their manager that they smelled gas in the hallway. the manager called facilities and emergency management -- as one should in a gas leak. people were told to leave the building immeds and not to touch any light switches.
it's january, in central PA, so really cold.
township emergency management came and went into the building with masks on. smokers, don't smoke in the parking lot! hours passed. emergency management came out. "dudes. there's no gas."
our facilities people talked to the person who had reported the issue. appar they'd just said that they smelled "gas," not that they smelled *natural gas.* "it smelled like farts; how else should I have said that?"
so we evacuated because someone farted.
