work (nobody cares)

TL; DR: moving offices yay

I've had this huge problem legacy employee under me on a temporary basis since january of last year. she's been awful, the power struggle has been just terrible, she treated her people (who should have been my people) like crap.

I just got rid of her last week (along with the paltry 6% temp increase they gave me for her) and she's still all up in my shit. my people are no longer hers and she's still terrorizing them, she drops by their work spaces and tries to overlord them; it's not great.

she can't be dealt with because she's a 50-year old woman with MS, so the situation seemed pretty hopeless until last night when I came up with the idea of *moving my team to another building* to minimize her contact with them. this morning I talked to our CIO and he's totally supportive and thinks it's a great idea. a space is opening up in my preferred building this spring and it's already a done deal that we're moving into it.

I'm so relieved and I can't tell anyone here yet so I am telling you.
