My memories / version is that he was the Boston Sports Guy (thanks Musubi for tipping me off to his existence) and he had a really basic website that I may or may not remembering being AOL based. Then ESPN...30 for 30...Grantland which I remember as being one of the first causalities of corporate over website then the Ringer and now Spotify ownership
