So the other day I posted about revamping my card usage. I got the Hyatt card (wife's application) for the free annual night plus their link with AA and last night I bought my son's AA flight to Prauge for his choir trip as well as booking our hotel for our Denver college visit trip. This weekend I also upgraded my old "MileagePlus Awards" card to Explorer so that I get the 2 one-day lounge passes as well as the $100 TSA credit.
I noticed, however, that Hyatt has more limited selection for our "everyday" travel and I was certainly wanting to take advantage of more TSA credits (I'll probably use the above $100 for my son's Global Entry). I'll be getting Sapphire Reserve in a year or so which includes one but in the meantime, I was eyeing the IHG card which gives instant Platinum status as well as a free night for the $100 fee (plus another $100 TSA credit). No brainer.
Am I going to run into any issue applying for the IHG Chase card (this will be our...6th card between my wife and I, my 4th) since I was also an authorized user on her Hyatt application? Should I include her on the IHG or will that cause any issues with the Sapphire Reserved application for her later on?
