on replacement drive of that size?
At the very least, I need to get my data off, but I need something that takes a lot of read/write activity without complaining.

In my experience, 1 out of every 8-10 hard drives fails during the first year. To be fair, we're hard on them, though. -- nm

I'm thinking that's a one off as I've slowly created a what should've been NAS collection of WD external HDs

Probably a one-off? But maybe look into what videographers recommend. (I assume that's the level of RW you're doing, rather than NAS) -- nm

Depends on what specific type of drive it is, ie. blacks have a better warranty than greens, etc.
