probably fair, but didn't used to be). Personally, I think there's no question that if we were starting from scratch, single payer is a far superior plan. It's just that we're not. The point I've been focused on is the point Oliver makes at the end that ending private insurance puts about 1.8 million people out of work and comes with a host of other problems where an entire massive system is built around something else. I think we have to aim for much better as opposed to ideal because the unintended consequences of "perfect" are just massive. Maybe we can begin a long term shift but it has to be very, very gradual.
