Mojo was found to have crystals in his urine so the doc. prescribed a prescription diet. They free-feed so both have to eat it. -- nm

we feed special urinary tract food to ours to prevent this. soft and hard. -- nm

Growing up, my pets were free feeders. Changed that when I met Amy. Two meals per day really is pretty easy and effective for cats and dogs. -- nm

Truth with 3 cats and 2 dogs there is no way to segregate feedings but we do portion control -- nm

Especially if they all don't eat the same way. Some graze and others will eat all of their food at once.
