Depending on the seeds, I expect 2 teams to be in the 2-3 line (MD/PSU), and then 2-3 in the 4-6 range; and then 5-6 in the 8-12 range.

It's reasonable for me to think they get 7-9 teams through to the Round of 32.
There are very few strong teams this year outside of Kansas and Baylor. Duke has been shaky the last few weeks and Dayton / SDSU are untested.
ESPN's latest mock has 10 Big Ten teams in (Indiana is a last 4 in) and 9 of the 10 are seeded in the 8 or better so they'd be expected to go 9-1 first round.
It could be an epic flameout, but in a season where multiple Big Ten teams have gone Top 5 and then come back down; there's far more there than not; at least relative to any other conference as a whole.
