I have a tendency to overuse ellipses, but I agree with you.

I've seen that type of abuse more recently. It's like the person is just stringing along a series of disparate thoughts, rather than just making an effing statement.
It's annoying. It's like I'm hearing Steven Wright's voice in my head while reading, but nothing is funny and everything is even less than boring.
