You probably received a 1098-T, reflecting tuition and fees paid. IRS Pub 970, Tax Benefits for Education, is your friend here -- (edited)

Look at the Lifetime Learning Credit or the Tuition and Fees deductions to see if they apply to your situation, and which gives you more of a benefit.
