I heard some interesting speculation on COVID19 that makes sense. Long story short: I may have already had it.

Research is starting to show that COVID19 has been around for weeks. Some of you may recall that after my conference trip to New Orleans in February, I came home with a cold that knocked me on my ass for a week, but it wasn’t “quite the flu” (although I never got tested for the flu).
Similarly, as seems to be the case every year, a number of folks at the office caught a cold (i.e coronavirus) since October/November last year, but this year it seemed to be worse, with folks out longer than usual. Could it have been COVID19?

Very doubtful and you likely just got sick like so many people that fly. People in a tube pass things around and it's probably just a bad cold -- nm

We get flu shots but the night we got home from our cruise we got walloped by the flu. All the symptoms of Corona but the shortness of breath. -- (edited)

Oddly, this year on the US East coast we had something going around in Jan/Feb that was a 2-4 sinus thing but unusually little coughing.

As far as I know, the first detection in humans of Covid 19 happened in late December. The theory is that that's when it jumped the species barrier. -- nm
