In response to "Everyone wonders what dampens my optimism. It's when democrats have a candidate like Elizabeth Warren and won't vote for her. " by David

She ran a poor campaign. She chose to hitch herself to Bernie’s platform. How she thought she could take that lane over him I don’t know. He has a

Cult following. She adhered to some non-aggression pact with him until just about 2 weeks ago. When that lane looked unavailable she changed her positions to moderate them trying to find a lane between Sanders and the more moderate candidates. But moderates didn’t trust her because of her earlier views and alliance with Bernie and progressives no longer saw her as authentic as Bernie. She needed to define herself better and distinguish herself from Bernie much earlier. It’s also the case that the electorate is just more moderate than her. It just is.

I like her and respect her and think she’s a great senator. She just wasn’t a good presidential candidate.
