Same-day registration with proof of ID and residency.
Mandatory 21-day voting period, ending on a Sunday to make sure anyone who wants to vote at the last minute can do so.
Electronic voting machines with voter-verified paper trail.

Everyone would be pre-registered off their unique Govt ID #. Show up with state-sanctioned ID card (be it license or ID card) and vote.
