Liz did a much better job explaining it (and I'm not sure Bernie has read that or he would adopt it). But he envisions raising everyone's taxes, but

for lower income people it would be less than what the average cost of insurance, co-pays, deductibles would be. He just doesn't want to say that out loud. Liz has employers kicking in what they would otherwise be contributing to health insurance for their employees. That's a pretty sizeable number and makes sense.

I've said this before, but none of this ever gets to the unintended consequences which are just a huge factor. I'm in favor of improving the system and steering it towards something like M4A, but it has to take place over decades, not just a few years. Improve and then adapt. Improve some more and adapt some more, etc. Improving is good.
