Here Medicaid is actually a disability based program. We follow the same rules and guidelines that SSA use -- (edited)

to approve people for SS Disability and SSI. I would possibly be able to transition to the SSA side of my agency, but not guaranteed.
But some people in my division would not be able to transition. So some people would definitely loose their jobs. And having worked for the state for a long as they have, and being their age, they likely would not be able to find another job.
But again, I'm not against healthcare for all. But people thinking that there is "no downside" need to open their eyes to reality.
