Like I said, I'm not against healthcare for all. I agree the system needs an overhaul.

But then again there is a small jaded part of me that sees the people that have been living off of the system for a long time, or because their parents did it, and are just too lazy to get a job. I've had 20-somethings apply for Medicaid because "their finger hurts", even after having it explained that Medicaid here is a disability based program.

But I agree. Everyone should have access to affordable healthcare. My only point was that people that think there "is no downside" are wrong. Because it will affect some people in negative ways.

- I assume HFA countries have healthier populations with lower long term strain on GDP but I imagine there's data to answer that assumption. - Max Mar 4, 12:34
