Great question, and here is how our thought process worked on it.

So, we figured flu at first. Then it was so intense and we had had our flu shots we started to wonder.
I had heard that someone flew through LAX (our layover 10 days earlier going to Florida) and was later found to have the Corona Virus.
So that really had me wondering if we might have been exposed. I ran a bunch of google searches but couldn't find any stories about "when" that person went through LAX. Only that they had come from Mexico after a flight from another country. So for a day I was like, hmmmm it's a one in a million but we should possibly get checked out.
So I ran another Google search using some different key words. Bingo, the person flew into LAX days after we had been there. We were safe!
Though.... a couple on the cruise with us had a layover in Seattle on the way to Florida. They were in the Seattle airport 36 hours AFTER a person flew out of Seattle airport and later found to have Corona Virus.
But all the reports I read about it said you were only in slight chance of contracting it if you were in the area of that person at the same time they were there. They weren't, they were their much later.
Basically two things. They were wrong at that time about how contagious it was. They were still claiming you would have to basically be coughed on by an infected person to catch it. Now we know that is far from the truth. Second the time lines weren't close enough for us to be concerned with it at that time.
If we had those same symptoms pop up today? We would call the doctor for instructions.
