Not really the same. Insurance selection and pricing here is also heavily regulated. The point is more that variable billing for basically an ER visit

They’re generally not unilateral total price controls either. Schedules are generally set by commissions made up of industry and government, or negotiation between medical professionals and government. Everything is macro-driven instead of micro. Outcomes generally always cheaper and better.
