Gwaa and I fought an epic battle on Ika-org last night.

I deployed the bulk of my forces from my MPC yesterday in hopes of finding a sweet crystal cow. Turns out, I bit off more than I could chew.
With Gwaa stationed nearby, I requested assistance, and he was able to deploy forces within about 30 minutes (nice guy!)
We battled (a losing battle) for nearly two hours before some reinforcements I had sent finally arrived. True to form, the lazy marksmen arrived about 3 minutes after a round I was sure would be our last, but the guys held out and the marksman finally hit the beaches.
The next round, we were still on the losing side of the offensive/defensive score, but it was razor close. Evidently, the marksmen made the difference and held the line while my quickly diminishing gyrocopter force shot it out against an opposing air force that outnumbered them 2-to-1.
It was another hour (so nearly 4 hours of battle!) before the smoke cleared. Gwaa and I stood victorious in a field of battle littered with debris and the corpses of hundreds.
The payoff, though, was well worth it.
I launched my ships from the MPC at 5pm on a 1h20m voyage. They returned to the MPC at 2am. My military score is now about 2/3 of what it was before this started, and I'm losing only about 5000 gold/hour rather than 12000.
