In response to "Twitter now tweeting all of its 4900 staff are work from home now -- (link)" by budice

that probably doesn't impact me that much, but tonight is the first night that Waze has shown a significant reduction in my commute-home time.

bummed I couldn't take advantage of it and leave earlier than usual. it's rare for me to see a decent time before carpool lanes open-up at 7, and that's often pushed even later over recent years.

my company is doing the "work from home if you can do it without impacting your work and your manager says it's ok" thing - this has manifested in some managers saying everyone in their group should work from home, others telling their teams to do it if you can. we have some people who just can't because of what they do; but I was still surprised at how many cars were in the lot today, as many of those in my building should be able to WFH.

for the next few months, I should be able to WFH at least 2-3 days a week. hopefully things will have settled before I'll have to be back to more frequently here again. :/
