planning for the last three years. I've actually been doing pandemic planning for 18 years, and now that I'm at USCG, the pandemic plan was triggered about two months ago. I am handling the internal portal site for pandemic response, which means it's for every Captain of the Port around the world and their staff who need plans and guidance and templates to write legal documents to order cruise ships not to unboard. Everyone is breathing down my neck. I don't hate it, it feels cool to be needed.

Here's what I have so say about the pandemic. We're fucked. We're fucked. .

Whatever you have been told about how long you will do social distancing is a lie. You should expect 8 weeks. Not 10 days, not 2 weeks. There is not a Big Mac's chance in the Oval Office that it will be 2 weeks, because the incubation is so long. 2 weeks from now is when we are going to learn how many people are infected at this moment. Plan for 8 weeks. If you have any travel in the next 10 weeks, cancel it now. It's not iffy. You are 1000% not traveling.

We have been warning about this exact scenario since SARS 17 years ago. This administration has been criminally negligent, and thousands of people will die as a result.

Plan for 8 weeks of this, minimum. And keep well! nice to see everyone again! If you have questions please ask away I'll check back.
