Dewine wants to postpone tomorrow’s Ohio election. Court said no. He wants to appeal though it’s getting late. Particularly interesting to me.......

Because my school has a levy up. I know this wildly varies all across America but in Ohio, school funding is up to the local electorate. Some money comes from the state but per pupil spending can swing by double from district to district.
My district hasn’t passed a levy since 2003. The money doesn’t move with inflation so we are basically pulling off 2020 education at 2003 rates. There’s nothing left to cut so if this fails, it’s going to mean a ton of jobs cut (not mine).
Conservatives don’t vote for levies because it’s taxes. The elderly don’t vote for levies because of fixed incomes.
I had no hope at all but if the levy is up for tomorrow, the combination of a democratic primary and the virus may just ‘gerrymander/suppress’ the voters enough to get it over the line.
