When I worked at Ramada, the overwhelming majority of my horror stories came from those places. I still vividly recall speaking to a hotel desk clerk at our only NYC location.
They'd canceled a guy's reservation because he had been robbed. So, he had no ID. They wouldn't let him stay without it even though he had his Ramada Business Card number and credit card memorized.
So, the guy at the desk is *gleefully* telling me that they won't give a robbery victim a room AND will bill him for the night.
I wanted to reach through the phone and gouge his eyes out.
