So this Ohio election delay has really really screwed my school district.

We were supposed to find out today if the levy passed or not. We were waiting to schedule classes because we didn’t want to plan for one contingency if the other happened.

Now we won’t know until June (maybe).

So what happens to the teachers below the cut line in the meantime? They don’t know if they have to look for different jobs or not. But they can’t really wait and hope either.

My assumption is those teachers get RIFed with the idea that they will be hired back if it passes and we will schedule assuming it won’t. But then if it passes, many of those people will already have other jobs and we won’t be able to get them back.

No clue how we’d then add classes to the schedule in the summer with all the kids out.

Total shitshow.
