yeah, not all airports, especially smaller ones, have their own air traffic control.

The planes heading to and from Midway are still en-route controlled as normal, so I'm guessing they just space them for approach and then the pilots just land visually.

Didn't a whole bunch of planes crash there once?

mind you, Midway is one of the busier ones I've ever heard of to run without their facility
