I, too, would deem the functions you are describing as essential
What gets me is that it just exacerbates as usual the haves and the haves not problem
The lawyers (like myself) can stay comfortably at home. The IT and mail people, cannot.
I think that is 100% the right choice so that society can function and exist*
*assuming that we are actrually a compassioante society that actually helps and protects those people when all is said and done--but we will not.
