I took a nice little 500 mile drive yesterday. Daughter drama. Nothing serious but I feel bad for the kids.

Gin is in her 2nd year of college studying acting. She attends and lives at the CCPA at Roosevelt University. She met her girlfriend there and they've been together a year and a half.
Last week they went to Florida for spring break and had a great time (they stayed with the GF grandparents). They both flew back to O'Hare last Saturday night. While in FL. the shit started hitting the fan, including announcement the break was being extended another week. Then RU announced online learning, which will be tough for acting but that's another subject.
Anyway, we offered to house the GF for as long as needed. GF parents are divorced, Mom was OK with it, Dad was not. Dad was making flight reservations and meltdown ensued on Sunday. He finally relented and we thought it was going to work. Apparently he kept the pressure on GF through the week and GF felt she had to go home. GF and Dad live outside Pittsburgh. So yesterday we drove to the Toledo area (half way between here and their house) to make the drop off.
It sucks. I understand Dad wants his daughter close but she is 20 years old and should have the call (IMO). It was a better situation for both girls here but there was not much more I could do.
Last Sunday when the meltdown ended and GF was staying, my Ginny said it was going to be a good week and I loved that optimism. It was OK, it didn't end well, and we were both in the car crying to 10 minutes after GF and Dad drove off.
Ginny will be alright, we all will. Thank God we have the technology to communicate with the ones we love even if we can't be close. Not quite the same but it's something.
Oh, we have a 17 year high school junior also, but he's the 2nd kid so he's fine! 8-) 8-P
