I bought my first 360 because I played Halo 3 for 20 mins at a friend's house. -- (edited)

But, once Halo stagnated, there was nothing there for me. I also didn't need a premium subscription to play online games on PS at the time.
Overall, I also favour single-player games, so it was a no-brainer for me to stick to the PS ecosystem.
Also fwiw, you need Xbox Gold to play the free Call of Duty battle Royale mode and you do not need PS+, so the whole consumer first argument is kind of lost the moment.
I do like their idea of not leaving the Ones behind, yet, when the XSX launches later this year, in theory.
