In response to "The car crash is in some ways worse - no warning and the person is gone -- nm*" by JackDawson

What I mean is the deceased goes to the morgue, not the hospital care. In a financial crisis the concern is a run on the banks

In a health crisis the concern is the run on the healthcare system. We could double the number of on-highway deaths without an issue, but if you double the requirement of beds, ventilators, and around the clock nursing care, the system will crash and be unavailable to everyone. These idiots are not looking at the bigger picture (which also includes lost GDP if everyone is 'just' down with the flu instead of dead).
