Because it's in line with Zoom's "it's easy" philosophy. The moment you put something in front of access to a room, Zoom isn't easy.

You can enable authentication so people have to be logged in, restrict to certain domains, activate a waiting room, or put a password on a room. All of those things add steps to accessing Zoom.
