There’s room for 3 and 4 major parties, the problem is money.

There are a lot of people who are socially liberal but vote for Republicans because the think the Democrats will raise their taxes too much. There probably is room for a socially liberal/fiscally conservative party. The Democratic Party is essentially center-right compared to the rest of the world, there should be a party that’s truly on the left.
