When it started with cases in China, I just had memories of SARS and H1N1, so while I didn't think it was nothing I didn't think it would have a drastic affect on way of life. I did avoid going to my mom's as much if I even had a cough.
I guess when Italy started to ramp up is when I changed my mind. Maybe it was a Western bias or maybe it was because the reporting was more open than from China and Iran.
By the time any areas in the US started talking about isolation I was on board.
