Another POV: I worked in dotcoms for years. Not only was there no notice, no severance. Sometimes folks were "retroactively" fired, meaning, you ain't -- (edited)

getting paid for the last month you worked. Because they had no money. Sue your heart ot.
I've been a federal contractor for 18 years. Been laid off. No notice. There is zero severance. You're just told you're going home today.
I don't remember what you do for a living. Industries are different, that's what I'm trying to say.
