I made an effort to find Peeps for my younger brother for maybe 20 years or so until he told me about uh..3? 4? years ago that he'd had enough of them for at least this point in his life.
Over the years, I would hear all about how the different colors did taste different (uh, wut?) as well as the other shapes, other seasons etc definitely did not hold up
I always deferred to him on the above as to me Peeps had a momentary appeal in the that grainy, sugar texture and then the marshmallow texture. But they were just too sweet. With my brother's love of Peeps, I would always get them from parents at Easter and had enough of them to learn they weren't' my thing as well as that they do go stale. That overall flimsy cellophane wrapping may have worked for an aficionado like my brother who could finish off one of those three rows, 15 packs in a day but for me, Peeps don't age well in open air
