I don't think so. HSX exists because movie studios don't have a direct relationship with their customers.

So the studios need information on what moviegoers want and that means box office reporting, companies like Cinemascore or HSX gathering information and selling it to people willing to pay for it.
When things move to digital, all of a sudden the studios regain that direct relationship with the customer. They don't need to buy data on what their customers like and don't like, they can collect it in-house. And because it's valuable they're not going to release it, they're hoarding hoard it.
