Sadly, there's a number of neighborhoods in our country where the corner liquor store is also the primary source of groceries for lower income people

People who don't have access to reliable transportation, publicly or privately, to go somewhere else to get better food. It's a shitty cycle of abuse, but there are a lot of people for whom a liquor store is not just essential but absolutely vital to "survival."
