This was apparently new in the relief act. RMDs had already been pushed back to start at 72 rather than 70.5 but not this. -- nm

If you've already taken this year's RMD you're out of luck unless you can roll it into another IRA within 60 days. -- nm

I have a small inherited IRA. I alwys take my RMD in a panic on like december 28th. I'm cool! -- nm

Yep, I wait until December - why transfer it to a taxable account any sooner? Guess I'm lucky I don't depend on it. -- nm
