The early onset of spring means that our lawn is a little bit shaggy already and is in need of a trim. I just started up the mower, and it seems to be running well. It's even idling more smoothly than last summer.

Meanwhile, I'm not yet at the point where I can use our big riding lawnmower.

So, I'm going to teach my wife how to do it this weekend. She's definitely capable of doing it, but there's also definitely a learning curve to use it. It took me a while to get comfortable with using the steering handles. And even longer to get comfortable with the steeply sloping part of the yard next to the street.

We'll see how she does
