I'm extremely confident that if AMC collapses, somebody else will swoop in. But I cannot answer JD's question about how locations remain in business.

What I expect -- and some studio execs have indicated to me the same belief as well -- is that we'll see more of a move to concert-type pricing. Movie theaters will become more experiential.

As the cashflow issue continues, the new owner will explore some land sales, eliminating some high-profile venues. If the theater industry survives, those will get replaced in time, especially in metropolitan areas.

We should also see more joint/shared-use facilities. I actually think that's the direction a lot of office space is heading anyway.
